Wolgast Corporation is proud to announce that it has achieved the Associated Builders and Contractor's (ABC's) National Safety Merit Award. ABC recognized Wolgast as having an exceptional safety record, rigorous employee training, and safety education program. Awards are based on evaluation of safety programs and safety performance of comparable companies with similar total man hours in a calendar year, which for Wolgast was 250,000 - 500,000 man hours.
Out of a membership of 25,000 companies, 47 were considered for the award and Wolgast's safety performance qualified them as one of three finalists for the top honor of National Safety Excellence Award. "Our employee-owners work very hard and are committed to being safe in an industry that can be very risky, "said Jo Neuhalfen, Wolgast's Safety Director. "We not only work hard to be safe for our staff, but also for our clients, and anyone who may enter our job sites."
The National Safety Excellence Awards will be presented June 24th during ABC's Annual Excellence in Construction Banquet in Washington D.C.
