Saginaw, MI - Wolgast Corporation has been recognized among the 2024 Top Performing US Contractors by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)! Wolgast is listed as #146 out of 250 based on hours worked in 2023.

Saginaw, MI – Wolgast Corporation President, Steve Salyers, announces staff promotions within the Employee-Owned Company.

Neil Frank has been appointed Vice President of Architecture. He started with Wolgast in 1997 and most recently held the position of Director of Architecture. Neil earned his Master of Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and has more than 25 years of architectural and land use experience. As Vice President of Architecture, Neil is the design lead for the company’s Design-Build projects and coordinates the design team, he also oversees the project administration and construction observation working closely with the Director of Preconstruction.

Amy Jammer has been promoted to Cost Control Administrator. Amy started with Wolgast in 2020 as Payroll Clerk and then moved into the Accounts Receivable position a few years later. She has 25 years of Accounting related experience. Her new responsibilities include preparing school cost manuals and billing clients for CM services. Amy is currently completing her Associate in Business Studies - Accounting at Delta College, expected to graduate December 2024.

Wolgast Corporation is proud to announce that they have been named an Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC). Wolgast received national recognition as a result of achieving STEP Platinum status and meeting high certification standards evaluated by the Associated Builder’s and Contractors (ABC). ABC is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Accredited Quality Contractors program in 2023, and only 547 of the nation’s elite merit shop construction contractors most recently earned the credential.

Wolgast Announces Promotions within Design-Build & General Contracting Divisions

Saginaw, MI – Wolgast Corporation announces staff promotions within the Employee-Owned Company.

Eric J. Schwartzly has been appointed Vice President of Construction. He has been with the company since 1997 and most recently held the position of Director of Construction. Schwartzly started as a Field Supervisor, then held positions of Project Manager, followed by Director of Restaurant Construction. As Vice President of Construction, Schwartzly’s responsibilities include overseeing project management within the Design-Build, General Contracting, and Restaurant Divisions, guiding his teams toward achieving company strategic objectives, assisting in developing new markets, and retaining Wolgast’s long-term and valued clients.

ABC Greater Michigan Chapter hosted the Greatness and Gratitude Gala last week to honor member contractors on their achievements over the past year. Wolgast is honored to be a STEP Platinum recipient, and to receive three Excellence in Construction Awards!

Saginaw, MI - Wolgast Corporation announces employee-owner staff changes. Valerie McKinnon of Bay City, has been promoted to Project Manager Assistant. She will assist with managerial and technical support of the General Construction and Design-Build Divisions. She joined Wolgast in September of 2022 as our Payroll Clerk. She and her husband also own a video gaming/sales business, she has four children, and she enjoys gardening.

Happy Design+Construction Week (DCW)! DCW is actually associated with an annual tradeshow event organized for Residential Construction and Design industry professionals, this year taking place in Orlando, FL. Even though we are not a Residential Design or Construction Provider, or associated with the DCW event, we didn’t want to miss an opportunity to celebrate our Commercial Design + Construction services, as well.

We were honored to recognize our staff members accomplishments during our Annual Employee Development Meeting on December 3, 2021. Rich Ramsey has retired after 13 years of service as School Facility Specialist (following his career as School Superintendent).  We had 12 Employee-Owners achieve their 100% Vested status between 2020 and 2021 and we honored them with the traditional Red Vest.  Clint Clark received a cash reward for referring a candidate that we hired as Project Manager and Bob Pratt received the nicest Goodwill sentiment from a client and was awarded with a restaurant gift card.  Lastly, we had three anniversaries to recognize, Pat McNeal for 30 Years, Evan McMahon for 20 Years, and Steve Salyers for 10 Years.  We had so much to celebrate among our amazing staff!  Congratulations to all our honorees!

Saginaw, MI - Wolgast Corporation is pleased to announce an addition to its staff. Steven Salyers, II formerly of Cocoa, FL, has accepted a position as Preconstruction Manager. Salyers will be responsible for managing preconstruction processes associated with the Design/Build and General Contracting Divisions. As we continue to expand our negotiated services and clientele, he will ensure that projects move efficiently through procurement, design, approval, estimating and purchasing. This includes collaborating with clients, consultants, contractors and colleagues on the development of early stage deliverables such as budgets, schedules, project scopes and final designs.
